The annual “Behind the Scenes” post is one of my favourite blog posts to write because it really gives people a glimpse of our personalities while we’re shooting, well, behind the scenes! I think you’ll see below just what I’m talking about.Weddings are so much fun! In front of the camera and behind. Here’s a little preview of the great times we’ve had this year!

Starting out, some goofy ones to show our true colors…enjoy!

Testing light for the photo booth! Bubblegum ice cream really wasn’t a good idea for the bride considering her teeth turned blue after just a couple bites. Doh! Nice one Lauren! Oh well, can’t let perfectly good ice cream go to waste! hehe Tired after a long day of shooting! Oh my, I might regret posting some of these Sorry Jer, you’re in my shot! (below left), he looks pretty focused! And making friends with toddlers? That’s not unusual for this guy! (below right) I believe THIS (below) is what they were laughing atMost impressive jump ever!

Now all of this fun wouldn’t be possible without the best helpers/second shooters ever! Thanks Jenn & Jer! You guys are the best! I still have a feeling he’s going to leave on of my lenses somewhere. Such as an old pillar in the middle of nowhere!  Now comes the fun part, the actual shooting. As you can see below, sometimes I embarrass myself by the positions I have to get into to get that perfect shot…. This was Jerrod explaining to the curious father of the groom all about DSLR’s, and Jerrod being the great guy that he is, is always willing to teach! Wedding days are never complete without some unexpected “helpers”. iPhone shooters are the best and the cat below just showed up one day while shooting at the forestry farm and wouldn’t leave us alone lol. Must have wanted a portrait too! But in all seriousness, we love our job! Being a wedding photographer can be very rewarding, see…the smiles are proof!
